The caracat cub paced the border anxiously, his golden eyes clouded as he continued to race back and fourth, worry coursing through his veins. He had been gone for quite a long time, leaving to redeem himself on a deeper level. He was still nervous and socially awkward, to say in the least, but not as much. But he was back now, eagerly awaiting the faces of his clanmates, his mother, or Salempaw.
"Uh.. Anyone there?" Benjamin called out quietly.
-
The socially awkward caracat found himself watching the group of kittens with wide eyes. He recalled a time when he was their age, but that was a long, long time ago (at least so it seemed). He had been gone for a while, after all. "H-Hi guys..." The stuttering, sweet male called out quietly, tail twitching.
-
He smiled tentatively, his restless walking slowly coming to an end. "I'm Benjamin, son of Witchingstar, I've come back," He murmured softly. Hearing the voice of his old friend, his face would visually light up, those tufted ears perking. "Salem? How are you? Its been a while.." He had crushed on this female when he was a child, actually, he was pretty sure he was still crushing on this female.
-
"Y-You got promoted?" The stuttering hybrid inquired. He had sure missed a lot in his absence and felt bad not being there during the rise and fall of his friend within the ranks. "Well congrats and at the s-same time s-sorry."
-
anybody want to plot or have a thread with ben?
-
"I-I am," Murmured the caracat hesitantly, approaching the warrior with averted eyes.
-
The caracat had been taking a light nap, exhausted after a morning of seemingly neverending patrols. But he was quick to awaken when the sound of Salempaw's voice entered his ears. He had liked her from the start, she was funny and cute and pretty and he was absolutely, positively infatuated by her. She was on his mind every day and he not the slightest of ideas as to what her poor soul was dragged through.
"What's u-up?" Inquired the child of Witchingstar, his large form emerging from the brambles that surrounded the apprentice den.
-
suresure! could you make it or do you want me too?
-
The afternoon was his freetime. He always had space cleared up to take a walk through woods. It was ritual with the caracat. He had just returned from a patrol when he realized it was time, and so, quickly apologizing to his NPC clanmates, took off for a time of solitude, reflection, and ultimately peace. Benjamin did, however, have to constantly fret about the intrusion of other's, especially considering that he was as social as a rock.
-
-
The apprentice stiffened slightly, trying to fight off an obvious blush that had begun to redden his cheeks. "H-Hi Salem... Um.. Can I t-tell you s-something?" His inquiry was an innocent one, his eyes, like always, averted, interested in his tan paws that were shuffling awkwardly against the dusty floor.
-
Benjamin was unaware of the invisible cat. He merely held his pace, inspecting the nature that surrounded him with thoughtful golden eyes.
-
Okay so he wasn't exactly good at this, in fact he was terrible at this. And besides, she probably was going to reject him, he had disappeared for like three months and this would seem unexpected, to say in the least. "Uh.." He began softly, his eyes finally daring to look at her. "I-I r-r-really like you S-Salem and I-I know that I-I kinda j-just ditched y-you but I-I'm back n-now and I-I wanted to k-know if you w-wanted to be my... Um.. G-Girlfriend?" He was a stuttering mess, visually shaking as he aired his proposal.
-
Oh thank the Lord he hadn't messed that up. Smiling tentatively, he would rasp out a quiet purr, his eyes observing her thoughtfully. "So what's happened in y-your life?" Ben inquired quietly.
-
Benjamin just looked at the sky, he couldn't actually see the other cat because she was invisible.
-
The caracat watched the apprentice with wide, amber eyes, his mouth slightly agape. Was she high? Or rather, drugged? She looked out of it, and quite frankly, that was rather disturbing. He approached with great caution. "U-Uh M-Miss.. A-Are y-you alright?" Benjamin's quiet tone would call, his head titled to one side as he continued to regard her, a frown touching his lips.
-
Benjamin was, to say in the least, very happy. He was now in a relationship with his dream girl that one day he planned on proposing too. He couldn't have asked for the scenario to play out any differently, and pleasantly, he replayed the event in his mind. Over and over and over. Ah, he was what they would call an infatuated adolescence, right?
-
-
Although he was spooked by the sudden appearance of the cat, he didn't show it.
Benjamin merely turned towards the female, lips curling down in a frown. "B-But you aren't an enemy," He deadpanned quietly. He was a bit annoyed with the unknown creature, she had interrupted him during his solitude period.
-
His ears perked slightly. Sal as in Salempaw? What did she have to do with this? He was curious now and that was obvious in his glistening optics, his head cocked to the left slightly. "What do you mean?" Sure, they were dating and all, but bringing her up out of nowhere seemed a bit unexpected and random, especially considering that he was sure no one knew.
